New development from profilsager: plix makes laying ceramic slabs easier
Some good product ideas are born exactly where they will later be used: on site. With plix, profilsager is launching a new solution for landscaping that makes laying ceramic slabs on gravel easier, more precise and more controlled.
The plix tile spacer was developed by Jörg Felber, product developer at profilsager and former landscaper. His practical experience played a key role in the development. Anyone who lays slabs on gravel knows the challenge: spacers often have to be pushed underneath slabs that have already been laid. This is tedious, imprecise and can disturb the carefully prepared gravel bed.
This is exactly where plix comes in. Thanks to the retaining clip, the tile spacer is attached directly to the 20 mm porcelain stoneware slab before laying. When the slab is placed, plix remains in the correct position and no longer needs to be pushed underneath afterwards.
Another important detail is the large support disc. It helps ensure a stable position in the gravel bed and keeps the spacer correctly placed. The rib has also been carefully designed: rounded on all sides, it guides the next slab cleanly into the joint without hitting the spacer or shifting it.
A small component, but a noticeable help on site: plix simplifies installation, reduces correction work and supports a clean result when laying slabs on gravel.
plix is available in two variants: tile spacer and T-piece.
