In March this year, the Bogentrakt Hostel in Chur opened its doors. The former place of incarceration has undergone a remarkable transformation and the former cells now shine as modern rooms. Despite the contemporary demands, the history of the former prison has been preserved, such as the original cell doors and the intercom systems of the individual cells. Nevertheless, the ambience does not convey any feeling of being locked up.

The name "Arched Wing" already reveals the arched architecture of the building, which presented a particular challenge during the renovation. This is where the versatile soft PVC skirtings came into play. Their flexibility allows them to elegantly enclose every corner, while being waterproof and hygienic.

The skirtings are available in different heights and colours and present themselves as an extremely functional solution for use in public buildings and damp rooms. Thanks to their hot-melt adhesive finish, they can be attached effortlessly and, with their robustness, outlast many decades, even with intensive use and regular cleaning. They thus contribute not only to the aesthetic design of the hostel, but also to its longevity and ease of maintenance.
