Staircase protection for rocksresort LAAX

The rocksresort in Laax is expanding with two additional cube houses to a total of 13 units. From the outside, the buildings impress with their Vals quartzite façade. On entering the building, the black-coloured exposed concrete staircases with integrated balustrades catch the eye. Paluselli Elementbau AG from Diepoldsau specialises in sophisticated concrete elements and prefabricated the stairs to the highest quality.

During the construction phase, the stair edges in particular are at risk of impact and spalling. For this reason, Paluselli decided to use our robust stair protection profiles in addition to the Allprotect protective fleece from Fritz Landolt AG. The stair protection profiles are fitted with double-sided adhesive tape on the underside and can therefore be quickly and easily attached to the Allprotect on the tread.

On the visible side of the blue stair protection profiles, there are angular cross grooves that provide the worker with optimum grip on the profile, even on cold and wet days. The stair protection profile ensures that the architecturally high-quality staircases remain undamaged during the construction phase. After all, the aesthetics of the staircase should survive the construction phase undamaged and then unfold their full effect during operation with holiday guests.
