Building authority Graubünden

Zindel carried out the master builder work for the canton of Graubünden for the new "Cantonal Police Base" on Sommeraustrasse in Chur.

The construction is a pilot project as part of the "Green Deal for Graubünden" action plan. For example, concrete slabs were realised using gravel from the excavation. The application of proven principles for sustainable construction was clearly implemented in the building: compact volume, reduced construction and clear, simple structures.

This also includes the exposed concrete retaining wall of the entrance to the underground car park. In order to repeat the clear and simple structures in the retaining walls, the top of the wall was designed with sharp edges. The Zindel company achieved a perfect result with our wall crown profile: sharp-edged and dead straight.
